Remote manhole locations and difficult to access sewer easements have always been a problem for sanitary sewer agencies to monitor. The SmartCover^® system enables agencies to continuously monitor these remote locations without having to travel to the site. SmartCover^® uses digital radio technology and patent pending specialty antenna hardware to communicate from locations that are far removed from any power utilities or other telemetry locations. This can give the customer the peace of mind regarding the collection system without requiring personnel to perform costly or difficult visual inspections.
